Chinese? Is that Chinese?
God! This is the 2nd blog for the night. Anyway, I just saw on the news. A good news for the younger generation who loathe Chinese Language. But a big NONO for me.
Students are now allowed to bring in dictionary / electronic dictionary for examination and.... its paper 2. Imagine how easy it is to score a full marks for the TIAN XIE HAN ZI section. While last time we used to carry the 2 holy bible (Ci Yu Shou Ce) and memorise the thousands of characters when we knew only 5 would appear in the paper. No matter how we abhor chinese language, we still gotta learnt. How freaking unfair it is to learn from the news that Electronic dictionary can be use in examination hall. MEI TIAN LI = No Justice!!!!
How are the students gonna learn chinese? Seriously I think its kinda brainless for MOE to decide on this kind of method to make chinese a more appealing subject, when we have been using this method to learn for the past decade. Life's gonna be way too easy for the younger generation to get through.
My application for relief teaching is still pending. Once approved, i'm gonna screw those kids. Okok, I'm joking!!! I'm not a hideous guy. I love kids. That's why I choose to teach. But no matter what, I still think it quite unfair and this methods will only decrement the standard of chinese language.
